
HIGH EFFICIENCY AKU HEAT PIPE SERIES
Sunrise Solar hot water systems are a proven product, used worldwide and in all types of climates and environments (even snow!)
The main component is the EVACUATED TUBE with the HEAT PIPE inserted within it, being able to absorb 96% of the available sunlight, reflect little as 5% and then transform the rest of this light to available HEAT ENERGY to produce hot water easily all day long, even in cloudy conditions!
Below is a graph of typical collectors and their efficiencies so you can visually see the difference between them. This graph was measured by the testing lab at STC (standard test conditions) which is at 25 degrees C, the colder the environment, the higher the heat pipe and AKU efficiency will be, where as flat plate and un-glazed efficiency will decrease.

The reason behind the high efficiency is due the evacuated tube design and the shape of the absorbing (glass tube).
As you might know, to absorb the full strength of sun’s rays they need to to hit the surface directly (90 degree angle) otherwise the sun’s rays will reflect from the surface, similar to when you see the ocean. the sun’s rays directly above the ocean will penetrate and heat the surface, whilst the rays that are on an angle will bounce off, you see this as glare and is quite bright and still has alot of energy, enough for you to get badly sunburnt!
The design of the evacuated tube is to absorb as much energy as possible and reflect as minimal as possible to the atmosphere thus maximising the energy we can absorb from the sun, giving you solar heated water all year round, including the winter season, which is a solar collectors TRUE test of ability!

We have 20 tube, 30 tube and 40 tube systems with full Australian and Watermark approval and Government rebates on all our systems!
Depending if you would like an almost total solar hot water solution or just wanting to substantially reduce your hot water heating bill is dependant apon how many tubes you select for your tank size.
We have available:
250L with 20 tube collector : 70% solar gain
250L with 30 tube collector : 95% solar gain
315L with 30 tube collector : 70% solar gain
315L with 40 tube collector : 95% solar gain
Both tank sizes are approved with either electric element back-up or gas (natural or LPG) back-up
